5 Axis Machinist

• €35k - €45k basic + shift
• Days, evenings and night shift available

Syntech are searching for a 5 Axis Machinist for our exciting client based near Galway. Working with 5 axis DMG and Mazak machinery, you will be tasked with programming for components using Solidworks and ensuring slick running of production.

5 Axis Machinist Duties:

• Produce high precision, quality injection mould tools and bespoke manufacturing machine equipment
• Deign and manufacture electrodes and mould die inserts
• Manual machining when required (milling, grinding etc)
• Take responsibility for running of new CNC Machine centre
• Mentor and train junior members of the CNC shop as required

5 Axis Machinist Profile

• 3 - 5 years experience on 3 and 5 axis machining centres (DMG and Mazak ideally)
• Experience with CAD/CAM packages (Solidworks ideally)
• Excellent machine trouble shooting ability
• EDM wire experience would be beneficial
• Willing to work shifts as required
