We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Assembly Operative to join our Engineering client near Gerrards Cross, Middlesex

Assembly Operative Role

To undertake a variety of mechanical assembly and workshop operations to build mechanical sub-assemblies.

Assembly Operative Duties:

• Conduct bench fitting of detailed assemblies from engineering drawings
• Riveting using manual, orbital and spin techniques
• Assemble threaded inserts, locking pins to metallic metal structures
• Carry out Jig drilling, taper reaming and thread locking
• Bonding components together using Araldite glue
• Run programmes for high pressure testing of hoses
• Manufacture cables and high-pressure hoses

Assembly Operative Skills and Profile:

• Experience with drilling machines and riveting techniques
• Use of adhesives and glues (Araldite)
• Experience of using measuring equipment and hand tools
• Capable of working to engineering drawings
• Manufacturing Experience, ideally 2 years plus
• Pressure test experience beneficial but not essential
