Design Engineer

Location: Meath, Ireland
Rate: €50,000 – 60,000 (DOE)

Bonus: Bonus paid (can be anywhere from €2-8k+ per annum)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 13:00

Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop designs that meet exact specifications
• Translate conceptual sales drawings into manufacturing-ready technical drawings
• Use CREO to design large mechanical assemblies and components
• Engineer equipment such as conveyors, support structures, and handling systems
• Lead and participate in design reviews, value engineering, and product integration
• Manage your own engineering projects—from specification and planning through to delivery
• Liaise with customers, supply chain, and production to ensure seamless design-to-build handover
• Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings that support production and installation

Design Engineer Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 4+ years’ experience in mechanical design or systems engineering
• Strong CREO skills (SolidWorks or AutoCAD also advantageous)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Track record of delivering complex projects to tight deadlines
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities under pressure
