Production Engineer - Milling
Location: Near Hartley Wintney, Hampshire
Salary: £17.25ph - £22ph
Hours: 8am - 4:30pm Mon-Thurs, 8am - 3:30pm Friday
Overtime: Ranging from 1.25x - 2x depending on day
Benefits: On-site parking, monthly bonus, life insurance, 33 days holiday (inc bh)

Role Overview: We are currently seeking a talented Production Engineer with expertise in machining to join our client's dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the production of high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop machining programs using EdgeCAM for offline programming and direct NC programming on machines, with a focus on Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
• Analyse engineering drawings to specify required tooling and design workholding fixtures.
• Manufacture fixtures and undertake machining jobs, primarily focusing on milling operations.
• Assist in the selection of new machine tools and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in milling, both conventional and CNC, with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, ideally Edgecam
• Programming skills in either Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhein
• Familiarity with a range of materials including Stainless Steel, SG Iron, Aluminium alloys, Mild Steel, and plastics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
