Test & Development Technician / Southam / To £32,000 - £40,000

Are you an experienced Test & Development Technician? You could be progressing your career at a world class Automotive company that have pioneered products for the motorsport sector over the last 60 years.

You will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical test installation, rotating machines and test rig preparation. You will be initially supporting the building of the test capability to enable the development and qualification of new products manufactured.

Location / Hours:
The company is based in Southam, Warwickshire you'll be working five days per week; you'll need to be able to drive there or be on close public transport links. Free parking available.
40 hrs a week (Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm) Flexible hours are available as long as block hours are completed.

Test and Development Duties/Requirements:

• Background in automotive/aerospace development environment
• Strong mechanical fitting skills with experience in rotational machinery such as test rigs, Jig and fixtures, transmissions, axles, electric motors, engines, etc.
• Working Knowledge/Experience of system or component testing on test rigs preferably transmissions or electric motors.
• Strong metalworking skills and ability to use test workshop equipment (lathe, milling machine, pillar drill, welder etc.).
• Knowledge of Instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition equipment and powertrain test cells.
• Experience of building and stripping transmissions or other rotational machinery.
• Experience of test rig calibration processes.
• Experience of transmission inspection and measurement.
• Working knowledge of systems including compressed air, ventilation, heating, powertrain test rigs, air conditioning, fire suppression and alarm systems

Salary & benefits:
As a Test and Development Technician, you will earn a competitive salary circa £32,000 - £40,000 pa, plus benefits including:
