Syntech are recruiting for a Test Technician to join a well-established UKAS accredited business based on the South Coast (based close to Brighton). The successful applicant will be involved with the day-to-day operation of the Heat Exchanger Testing Rigs.
Test Technician duties:

• Day to day operation of Test Rigs.
• Installation and rigging of heat exchangers into the relevant test rigs.
• Modification of test rigs and piping systems to suit individual test requirements
• Processing of test results in MS Excel, certificates, and labelling
• Checking and pre-approval of test certificates prior to signatory sign-off
• Liaison with other test and calibration personnel for priority tasks
• Cleanliness of the laboratory, associated areas, fittings, and tools
• Ensuring reference equipment is fit for purpose, calibrated and fully functional
• Ensuring customer turnaround times are met
• Undertake training when required

Other duties:

• New reference equipment assessments and trials.
• Development of the test rig software.
• Improvement to processes and systems.
• Supporting the Testing and Cleanroom teams.
• Contributing to both quality and technical procedures.
• Goods In / Out support.

Test Technician Profile

• Experience with testing (Heat testing, Pressure Testing) Beneficial.
• Background in Engineering, 2 years + in a workshop or laboratory environment.
• Experience with calibration instrumentation is beneficial.
• Hand tool & power tool skills (spanners, files, saws, drills, grinder)
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
